Frequently asked questions

Do I need to remove old drivers first?

Typically no—the installer handles upgrades. If you see conflicts, uninstall old drivers (Windows: Apps & Features / Devices & Printers; macOS: System Settings → Printers & Scanners), then retry.

USB vs Wi-Fi—what should I choose?

USB is fastest for single-PC setups. Wi-Fi is flexible for multiple devices. For best stability, use Ethernet if available.

Where do I find my exact model?

Check the front label near the control panel, the rear sticker, or your purchase box. On Windows, Device Manager → Printers can also reveal the model string.

Scans look faint or skewed—how to fix?

Clean the scanner glass/ADF, choose “Text/Photo” mode, increase brightness, and enable “Descreen/Sharpen”. Update the scan utility to the latest version.
